Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

Lagardère Food Services S.r.l. places great importance on the social aspects of the company and associated responsibilities.
This is why the company operates from the perspective of:

  • Respect for human rights 
  • Respect for its employees 
  • Protection against the exploitation of children 
  • Guarantees of safety and health in the workplace.

Lagardère Food Services S.r.l. aims, internally, in its daily operations and from a strategic perspective, to fully meet the requirements of the SA8000 (Social Accountability) standard. The system of corporate values requires ethics and fairness in behaviour, solidarity between people, commitment to the community and future generations, tolerance and mutual respect.

A system that is implicitly social and that now needs not only renewal, but strengthening, with methods that improve uptake and engagement. In view of these issues, Lagardère Food Services S.r.l. intends to support human values and adopt "socially responsible" behaviours, managing its activity in a proper and careful way according to the expectations of all stakeholders. The primary objective of Lagardère Food Services S.r.l. is to achieve complete and continuous customer satisfaction, the only way to entrepreneurial success and the development of its activities. This development must, however, take place in a sustainable way so that, in addition to maintaining high quality standards and achieving adequate levels of safety of employees and environmental protection, it is essential to respect the dignity and freedom of each individual. In order to pursue this objective, the commitment is aimed at the continuous enhancement of all aspects related to Social Responsibility according to a twofold perspective, both within and outside of the company. The aim is therefore to pursue modern management of quality, the environment, safety in the workplace, food safety and social responsibility, focusing on optimisation of the resources and means used, in order to assure, for all stakeholders:

  • Compliance with all applicable regulations on environmental protection, safety in the workplace, food safety according to the logic of continuous improvement; 
  • Full recognition of the principles contained in SA 8000:2014 also through the adoption of organizational tools such as the organizational and management model pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001; 
  • Full recognition of the right to receive remuneration in line with national and company collective agreements; 
  • Constant commitment to comply with national laws, European regulations and international conventions; 
  • Compliance with the principles contained in the ILO Conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the United Nations Convention to eradicate forms of discrimination against women; 
  • The recognition of full freedom by preventing and prosecuting any form of discrimination based on territorial origin, ethnicity, class, national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, trade union membership or political affiliation; 
  • Freedom of participation and trade union organisation without discrimination.

In order to implement the Policy, Lagardère Food Services S.r.l. constantly promotes and develops the following activities:

  • Disseminate information on all levels; 
  • Encourage observance of the principles of the HS 8000 to all stakeholders; 
  • Invest in the development of its employees, taking into consideration their skills, competencies and aptitudes, through continuous education, training and consultation; 
  • Promote involvement in quality, environment, safety and social responsibility through continuous training and by activating and promoting advanced digital knowledge tools; 
  • Implement a SA 8000 Management System and ensure that it is adapted to the evolution of the market, the legislative framework and internal processes; 
  • Qualify suppliers according to the principles of SA 8000; 
  • Raise awareness of continuous improvement at all levels.
